As part of this new brand and identity, Poetry Inn has been renamed Sttupa Estate. The principles that define Sttupa Estate embody a commitment to delivering unparalleled hospitality through curated experiences that transcend the ordinary and elevate every moment.

Perched high above the valley floor on the eastern hillsides overlooking Yountville, with its new identity, Sttupa Estate endeavors to be the most exclusive, refined and private luxury overnight accommodations in wine country—a sanctuary where art and nature inspire exceptional stays.

A team of Mexico City-based designers is in the process of reimagining the interior of the Howard Backen-designed property. Soon, Sttupa Estate will begin to introduce a thoughtful series of enhancements to create deliberate spaces that inspire and motivate the celebration of special occasions and personalized experiences. Plans include upgraded suites, added amenities, expanded spa offerings, high-touch concierge programs and immersive private dining crafted by Executive Chef Jim Leiken. These gradual refinements will be seamlessly integrated to ensure uninterrupted, guest-centric hospitality and the continuity of current reservations, staff and experiences.

Suites range in size from 1,000 to 1,450 square feet, each with a private balcony with bird’s-eye views of the Napa Valley, wood-burning fireplaces, soaking tubs and indoor and outdoor showers. Hiking trails dotted with native trees offer beautiful vineyard and valley floor views surrounding the property. A tranquil, secluded pool awaits guests, offering respite, refreshment and relaxation. All reservations include a multi-course culinary experience to begin the day prepared by Chef Jim Leiken, and access to bespoke tastings at the historic Sullivan Rutherford Estate that showcase the winery’s world-class Merlot, unrivaled in the Napa Valley.
